Iran’s Ahmadinejad says West set to plunder Libya

Western countries supported Muammar Gaddafi when it suited them but bombed the Libyan leader when he no longer served their purpose in order to “plunder” the north African country’s oil wealth, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday.

While Tehran has applauded the people of Libya for overthrowing the man it considered an illegitimate dictator, Ahmadinejad warned Libyans that the West now aimed to run their country for them.

“Show me one European or American president who has not travelled to Libya or has not signed an agreement (with Gaddafi),” Ahmadinejad said in a speech broadcast live in which he accused the West of ordering the former leader’s execution.

“Some people said they killed this gentleman to make sure he would not be able to say anything, just like what they did to bin Laden,” he said.

Iran accuses the West of helping create the Sunni Muslim militant group al Qaeda run by Saudi-born Osama bin Laden, who was killed by U.S. special forces in Pakistan in May.

Ahmadinejad derided the West’s approach to the Security Council, which he called an “organization with no honor,” saying the UN resolution to take action against Gaddafi was used as an authorization to “plunder” Libyan oil.

“Any decision that would strengthen the presence, domination or influence of foreigners would be contrary to the Libyan nation’s interests,” Ahmadinejad said.

“The expectation of the world of the Libyan nation is that they stand and run the country themselves.”

The downfall of Gaddafi, after he gave in to pressure to abandon nuclear work, has reinforced the view of hardliners in Tehran that no good would come of making concessions to the West.

Iran has been subjected to four rounds of sanctions by the United Nations since 2006 over its disputed nuclear program. Western powers accuse Iran of trying to develop a nuclear weapon, but Tehran insists its program is peaceful.

Ahmadinejad’s honesty is going to get him into trouble. The last thing a bunch of looters want is for someone to bring attention to their actions. If i were he I would be very, very observant of the Kurds, for i believe that somehow they will be used by the USA to create their next war of ” liberation” . I also would spend less time and energy trying to alert the world to the truth for it doesn’t listen. He should spend more time learning how the so called good guys created WW2, despite Hitler’s attempts to prevent it, ( Hitler had no intention of taking on GB, the USA , the USSR and most of the world in such a war.) for these very same methods will be used on him very shortly.

Steve my dear Brother in Humanity:

Get him in trouble with who. This is one one the basic problems. WE must Stop fearing people who are creatures just like yourselves. They eat, drink, procreate, go to the bathroom and and stink in the grave just like you and me.

I say it is better to NOT get in trouble with the ONE who created you by speaking out, standing up, and at least hating injustice than to worry about getting in trouble with someone Who thinks they have power and encourages others to be nasty to fellow creatures.

There is only one way to fight looters, liars, and control freaks. That is with honesty, LOUD and Clear. A mealy mouth mouse would be exactly what the west would be ok with. But where would that get the Iranians? And the world? The further westernized the world turns, the more savage it becomes. Cows cannot talk, just the way greed likes them. All it gets cows is more and more abuse. The louder and bolder Ahmadinejad speaks the bigger the audience. Everything we do is a risk and a threat to those that want us dead. Good bad or indifferent. Only the liars rest easy.

Filthy, murdering swine, all. There are 2 types of sycophants to the Jews; The aware and the not-so-aware. In the end, however, when their usefulness to their masters is gone, they’ll either be eliminated or enslaved, period. There is no room at the table for we “goy”.

Zainab…Good points. And in view of the USA’s long planned war against Iran it is probably best that Ahmadinejad make the world know what is coming.

A look at the text of the of the Website names a(nother) major point, perhaps even “the major point”, that is intended by the crimes of the “West”, NATO against Libya, the people of Libya.
Whosoever issues the money in an economy, and determines its quantity, is the sovereign in the economy concerned. In the “West”, NATO the issuing of money and determining its quantity is done by undisclosed private people and private organisations. These undisclosed private people and private organisations are, indeed, the sovereigns in the countries concerned. And this means these undisclosed private people and private organisations are – to great extent – “playing chess against themselves” – or: playing with unrivalled insider knowledge for their own profit …. With these advantages they can impoverish all other people (, and organizations) …. With these advantages they can send the NATO- military against all countries, especially those that do not conform with this dysfunctional, criminal financial system, or have taken steps to break off from this dysfunctional, criminal financial system, such as Afghanistan by cancelling all opium-poppy growing, Iraq under Saddam Hussein by stopping the US $ to be the measurement of oil sales, Libya under Kadhafi for initiating an African financial system …..

no sh*t sherlock. mind you, iran is apparently very supportive of the rebel terrorists, who we ALL know were armed, financed and helped by the jewish terrorists and their little bitches. as such, what did they expect the outcome to be. why speak out now instead of before the murder of over 50,000 libyans.

Once a country is placed on the shit list by the Neoconservatives / Zionist entity, it is only a matter of time before the bastards find a reason to send in the bomb squad.
We are being blackmailed by some dangerous psychopaths….MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON US.

    Zainab I agree wholeheartedly
We have in the Quran Allahs swt words “Ikhshoony wa la takhshoohum” Fear Me and do not fear them.
What iran needs right to (being the next target and all) is to have a voice LOUD and CLEAR.
A voice that exposes their agendas, a voice that promotes Irans humanity and right to its autonomy.
This can ONLY be done by exposing their shemes and patterns, by taking advantage of the global awakeing, by capitalizing on the unrest of the awakening 99 and Wall street occupation that is spreading into Europe. Reminding the people that their finacial dire straights are a result of these banker wars, their tax dollars are fuelling zionism.

Speak out Ahmedinejad..the world is listening. Dedicate a channel that streams live online in all languages and expose the plots and movements. It is after all peacefull dialogue & free speech.
