I agree that faith is the primary element of Christianity, but faith in what? All the Centurion knew about Christ was what he had “heard’ other people say. Unless you believe the Centurion came to Christ not having heard anything about him which is illogical at best. The centurion didn’t come to Christ to be a disciple but only to have his servant healed. And guessing at the magnitude of miracles Jesus performed by the power of Yahweh, and the desperation of the Centurion He came trusting what OTHERS had said about Him! That Jesus was a healer. All I do is believe what the entire Bible has to say about Yahweh, Christ, and the history of Redemption. The Quran says the Jews were given the Law and the Christians the Gospel, and textual Criticism of the OT/NT further proves we have the same LAW/OT the Jews had around 200BC and the same Gospel the Christians had around 150-200AD. No other book or manuscript has the textual evidence for its authenticity as does the Bible, QURAN INCLUDED!

What I dont get is how you dont see that being “Yahweh’s chosen” has always been about faith from Genesis to Revelation. Again, faith in whom or what? Who is God/Yahweh? How do you know Yahweh/God is trustworthy? What evidence is there of His being trustworthy? If I say I believe without any evidence that is blind faith and I might just as easily believe in Zeus, Hades, or any other mythological “god” and worship it. The Bible is God’s proof that He is a Covenant-keeping God and will fulfill all his promises despite the stupidity, evil, and wickedness of those with whom He has made the Covenant ie the Old Covenant Jews.

Not trying to “mesh” the 2 together and the accusation is inherently clueless to what the purpose of the OT was. The New Testament makes it clear that the Old Testament was for a specific purpose that was fulfilled in Christ. The whole point of the Old was to bring in the New. Christ is referenced, alluded to and prophecied about throughout the Old Testament, yet the Jews still missed the point. The Jews denial of Christ was for the benefit of the WORLD!

You obviously aren’t going to change your mind on anything I or any other Christian says no matter how logical and thought out. You have made up your mind that your right and can’t be wrong, no matter what. I am not so arrrogant to think I have all the answers concerning the Bible, but I believe it to be true.

Without the OT, how are you a Christian? Where did Jesus get his sources? How could he prove to THE JEWS He was the Christ, seeing that His very disciples CLAIMED He was the Messiah that the OT Sciptures spoke of? If the OT was corrupted, as the Quran says, How did they know Jesus was the Messiah? What proof, other than the miracles, did Jesus use to persuade His Disciples that He was the Messiah? How do you explain the references to Moses, Adam, David, Solomon, Abraham to your kids when they read the New Testament seeing you don’t accept the Old Testament? Do you use the Quran instead?

Questions, I don’t need or want an answer to, but ones you must ask yourself. Or are you blindly following a religion based on whatever reason you might have? I say this because I couldn’t be a Christian with all these doubts and unanswered questions. And if the Old Testament is corrupt then so too might the New Testament because it references the Old! (as well as being written by Jews) I’d rather be non-religious than to have your views on the Bible, because they are self-contradicting and would make my adherence to any of the Bible ridiculous.

Anyway, as I’ve said and continue to say, the Jews (so-called) today are nothing more than liars, thieves, and murderers. I completely agree that they need to kicked out of Palestine and the Land returned to its rightful owners. But until this insane Christian Zionism and Futurist interpretation of the Church is brought to an end, then nothing will be accomplished. No matter what you say, if the Church doesn’t change its understanding, then not your voice or anyone of your hosts will have any impact on the JEWISH PROBLEM!

As the Church goes, so does the World. The more corrupt the Church, the more corrupt will be the World. The more righteous (adherent to the Word of Christ) the Church, the more righteous will be the World. As for now, we will agree to disagree to stop this endless debate.

And as we are finding out today, as organized Jewish interests are using Christians’ attachment to the OT as a weapon in bleeding them dry of their money, military support and political influence. Better to have just made Christianity about Jesus and leave the other liars, thieves, war criminals, pimps, usurers, plunderers out of the equation, or at least recognize them for who they were as portrayed in OT lore, rather than trying to make saints out of them.
