Interesting show!
I don’t think that parable had anything to do with interest being allowed. Rather, it’s pretty critical of interest. The master is saying that if he WAS the type of person who harvested where he did not sow and gathered what he did not scatter then he wouldn’t go through that trouble of giving money for his servants to invest. Rather, he would have given his money to bankers straightaway so he could collect interest. Perhaps he is admonishing that slave for thinking ill of him and not grasping the fact that he was being taught a lesson in commerce/trade for profit.
Usury is anytime there is a like-for-like transaction, be it corn-for-corn, dates-for-dates or money-for-more-money. Money is simply a medium of exchange, you cannot use money without investing that money in some other activity that creates value. Even if you had a certain amount of inferior corn and you want to trade up for better corn, you must sell it for money and then buy as much of the superior corn as your previous sale would allow you. That is the definition of a free market: Your commodity is only worth what people are willing to pay for it.
Interest is what leads to the current condition of money chasing money without regard for the human condition. If money is just treated as a medium of exchange, that will encourage man to create improvements in their condition through industrious activities (which benefit the society). When you have people trading money for money, it doesn’t encourage anything productive or necessary and you fall out of touch with the needs of society as you’re just looking for the biggest yield and that just sucks the lifeblood out of the economy that people desperately need because more and more money is hoarded in the hands of people who don’t need to invest it in productivity and the money doesn’t circulate.
Contrast that to when money is forced to work in society through a productive endeavor. You are forced to hire, forced to build, forced to innovate. It becomes a virtuous cycle of money circulation where the money in a society is like blood flowing in a human being. If there are places where blood can’t circulate then you have a diseased body.
The Quran talks about people who equate interest to commerce/trade. God permitted commerce/trade and forbid usury.
275. Those who eat Riba (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitan (Satan) leading him to insanity. That is because they say: “Trading is only like Riba (usury),” whereas Allah has permitted trading and forbidden Riba (usury). So whosoever receives an admonition from his Lord and stops eating Riba (usury) shall not be punished for the past; his case is for Allah (to judge); but whoever returns [to Riba (usury)], such are the dwellers of the Fire – they will abide therein.

Have been looking into buying property with a partner, I`ll not say where.. I asked my partner if it were possible to buy privately from someone, cut out the middle men, but he said no, you have to go through the banks. It worries me a bit, but I`m hoping we can use the property, for the purpose for which it was intended, then, once that`s accomplished, sell it, hopefully at a profit, not loss..
Our dog, Bracken, was quietly singing along with Keith once more..

Meaning, we are the slaves of the usurious Banks most of which are in the hands of the Jews. So, without destroying the actual usurious banking system, there is no hope of getting back our freedom to live, buy, sell, produce and enjoy life on this planet. NOT A CHANCE!
Christ and Islam have the answer, but even Christians and Muslims do not give a man about their own religion!
