The “Oklahoma 2nd Amendment Preservation Act” is now working its way through the Oklahoma legislature. Introduced by state senator Nathan Dahm, this legislation puts Oklahoma shoulder-to-shoulder with Wyoming and Texas by putting federal gun-grabbers in check.

The language of the legislation is clear: “Federal acts, laws, orders, rules, regulations, bans or registration requirements regarding firearms constitute an infringement on the individual right [to keep and bear arms] in the Constitution of the United States…and are hereby declared to be invalid in the State of Oklahoma.”

The legislation mentions the “intent” of America’s “Founders” and the Constitution’s “ratifiers,” and sets forth the punishment for trying to enforce new gun control measures:

Any official, agent, or employee of the United States government or any employee of a corporation providing services to the United States government that enforces or attempts to enforce an act, order, law, statute, rule or regulation of the government of the United States in violation of this act shall be guilty of a felony and upon conviction…shall be punished by imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections not to exceed five (5) years.

    It should read, Not less then 5 years, and a $10,000 dollar fine. This would help pay for the low
    life prisoners upkeep..

    HA! Great! There will be a civil war, and the Feds know it. Even the Zionist Jews embedded in our government, like the scum Eric Cantor and his ilk, KNOW BETTER!

    I Think the US will end up like Russia and will fall apart in independent states. A “Jericho” scenario.

    Good for Oklahoma. I wonder if Texas may consider doing the same?
    No, I did not attend this weekend’s gun-rally at the Capitol, but I know quite a few who did.
    I guess we’ll see how this plays out.

    Yes. there are laws Ingrid, but many of our laws specially the constitutional laws are ignored by the government.
    I go for “THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS” but there should be limits, Assault rifles are out of the question. I think in many instances the constitutional laws are interpreted according to different points of views we do not need assault rifles to defend themselves.Thank you for your comment Iagree with you.

    I has taken time but I am glad, the local politicians, are willing to satand with the 99% instead of with 1%, by the end of this year if not before we will find out which of the 50 states are truly willing to make a stand for america’s CONSTITUTION instead of giving support to the fascist corporations and banks including the enabler PROSTITUTE MEDIA.FROM NOW ON THE PEOPLE OF EACH STATE THAT IS MAKING SUCH A BOLD MOVE BETTER STAND WITH THEIR STATE REPRESENTATIVES AND PROTECT THEM, ONCE THEY LEARN WHICH ONES ARE WILLING TO STICK THEIR NECK SO FAR OUT IN PUBLIC BECAUSE THE ZIONIST ORGANIZATIONS WILL BEGIN THEIR CAMPAIGN TO SMEAR THE REPUTATION OF ALL PATRIOTS THAT BELIVE IN THE SECOND AMENDMENT, BETTER KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON AIPAC, ADL AND ALL THE REST OF THE ZIONIST ANTI AMERICAN AGENCIES ALREADY PLANTED IN OUR SOIL.

    @isaac, sorry, didn`t think it through.. yes, of course there are good laws, and bad laws, laws which can be changed, for better, or worse, sometimes at the drop of a hat, but, I`m glad there are still “good laws”..

    @vince, # 8, yes, if only..

    the first thing I have read in a long time that actually makes sense… from oklahoma of all places.

    Living in Oklahoma, I’m happy to see this legislation proposed but I would caution people not to read too much into this. This legislation is inspired more as a partisan swipe at Obama than out of any real resistance to Jewish rule. If Mitt Romney had won the election and proposed these same gun bans, you would not have seen this legislation coming ouf of the Oklahoma legislature. Sadly, this is little more than the same old left/right meme at work.

    That being said, among the population here, there is a lot of discontent over this anti-second ammendment campaign. There is resistance, real resistance, out here…..but it won’t be coming from the political class. Sorry if this dissapoints folks, but it is what it is.

    I would rather see real grassroots resistance in this, any day Bob. I’m not disappointed at all. And I also agree with you on the ‘right vs left’ old and over used paradigm. There are still way too many people stuck on it. There is no difference between either party once truly sussed out.
