Obama vows ‘never again’ on Holocaust memorial day

American president releases statement saying US, world ‘resolved to stop any tyrant or dictator who commits crimes against humanity’

US President Barack Obama on Sunday vowed to prevent genocide, as the world marked Holocaust Remembrance Day on the anniversary of the 1945 liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

“Those who experienced the horrors of the cattle cars, ghettos, and concentration camps have witnessed humanity at its very worst and know too well the pain of losing loved ones to senseless violence,” he said in a statement.

“We honor the memories of the six million Jews and millions of other innocent victims whose lives were tragically taken during the Holocaust over sixty years ago.”

However, the American leader said, the anniversary is also a “time for action.”

“We recall the courage, spirit, and determination of those who heroically resisted the Nazis, exemplifying the very best of humanity. And like these courageous individuals, we must commit ourselves to resisting hate and persecution in all its forms. The United States, along with the international community, resolves to stand in the way of any tyrant or dictator who commits crimes against humanity, and stay true to the principle of ‘Never Again,’ Obama said in the statement.

“By remaining vigilant against those who seek to perpetrate violence and murder, we honor those we lost during one of the darkest periods in human history. And we keep their memory alive for generations to come.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday drew a parallel between the Holocaust and modern-day threats faced by Israel, stressing the importance of standing guard against regional risks.

“We have to watch out for what is happening around us,” Netanyahu said in a Cabinet meeting, noting Iran’s nuclear program and Syria’s chemical weapons. “The Middle East isn’t waiting for the election’s results, and it doesn’t stop while we form a government.”

Hey, Mr. Obummer, there is nation in the middle-east that is commiting crimes against humanity every day since 1947 and still without punishment. It is called IsraHell and is a serious threat to peace for his neighbours, to the whole world and disaster for the rightful owners of the land, the palestinians, their lives their famiies and children. Do you know this country with 200-400 nuclear bombs, other WMDs never inspected by any international authorities ? You don’t have to look elsewhere, in reality it is very simple.

    This is just so crazy.
“Never again” should never again pertain to only one group who’s been through war. What about, “Never again” for the Russians, Armenians, Chinese, Indians, and of course, Palestinians, Iraqis, Afghanis? Why are we told to feel sorry for only the Jews?
Here’s the problem, and I really think they do not see this: when the same group who goes on and on for decades of how terribly they’ve been mistreated, yet they do the same (and surely worse) to others, their words finally begin to ring hollow.
In fact, this is why I call it their, “hollow cause”. It’s been so overused and they have done worse to so many of their neighbors, it’s becimong impossible for me and many others to have any thought to these, “poor, put-upon”, people. I really do think this is becoming their downfall. And if they didn’t expect it, they should at least prepare for it.
Just keep the USA out of it – though they really can’t do this, because they are only used to warring against and on people who’re completely defenseless. In a way, I hope they try and go at Iran, because they will lose just as they did when they went at civilians in Lebanon. But, I hate to see my own government stepping in to back them, just as we have done all over the Mid-East and now, Africa.

Never again.. right. Who’s writing Obama’s speeches? Do these people realise how stupid they sound (or he sounds, reading the words)??

It is Obunga, a dictator who commits crimes against humanity, his hands are full of blood. What a hypocrisy. We do not need to pour trillions of dollars into the Military. No one is attacking the US, on the other way around is the US who is attacking other people.

Eva,I hope you all know that Israhell is going to use her arsenal of those bombs. One
of the Minister [I forget who] stated that if Israhell was going to go down the tubes,
they will let loose all those bombs on Europe and the U.S.

This is called the Sampson Option and they will destroy; the world before Israel
    goes down. janet

Hallo Janet, I guess most of the people in this network know the Samson option. It was a professor from Hell Martin van Creveldt who said some years ago that Berlin, Rome, Paris and American capitals would be nuked in case his shitty little murderous country would be in alleged danger. Of course no information was in the western media.
But surely the western governments are informed and maybe this is one of the reasons they always cave in to IsraHell.
But Creveldt was not the first one to threaten the world with nukes. In the sixties Golda Meir confirmed Alan Hart of these plans.
How he can feel honoured to this very day by having known this ugly disgusting polish- jewish witch is above my comprehension. Otherwise his books and most of his ideas are good.
Gola Meir did not shy away from saying during WW II:” I do not care for the old, the children, the ill and the anti- zionists. I only want to have the young and the fertile for Palestine”. – We all know what they were expected to achieve there and they did…In reality the jews going to the camps were selected by the jewish communities. The Nazis only determined the numbers.
Ben Gurion said to Hitler” When I have to choose between 200.000 jewish children brought to Palestine and 400.000 to England, I choose the Palestine- option ( Ahwara-agreement).

Rasheeda, why would Obama point fingers at Bibi, when Obama is doing the same all over the middle-east?
It just makes me sick that “our American president” is doing exactly what he would criticize others for (save, of course, Israhell.) I really don’t know how he says these words while doing this in more countries than most of us are aware of.

    Eva;
Golda- “No such thing as Palestine”- Meier was probably the most despicable leader “israel has had. Americans, (especially) other Zionists-Christians, quote that awful woman even today. That ridiculous phrase shows up in blogs and comment pages, everywhere. And the people who say it actually believe there was no Palestine, ever; that Palestinians should, “go back to Jordan” (Yes, ‘back’ to!).
Sometimes, I don’t even know how we fight this insanity.

Yes,Anne, you’re right, this is another quote of this hellish witch Golda Meier. I really hope the tide is changing and people around the world unterstand this BS and the Palestinians get finally the justice and freedom they really deserve.-
I assumed that the information I wrote in my comment was not so well- known. These quotes from both evil polish- jewish ” leaders” during WW II are completely despicable as well, because they show their contempt for the members of their tribe they considered not to be useful for their plans.

Really?? Why then, has the world not attacked the rogue, racist, terrorist, war-mongering, occupying and illegitimate state of Israel?
