ed note–we post this as a reminder to those who make the empty-headed assertion that ‘zionism’ and ’judaism’ are 2 distinct creatures, mutually exclusive and as different from each other as apples and oranges.
Israel is THE JEWISH STATE. From its inception it was based on the idea that it was for the Jews and ONLY the Jews, and that the only place that Gentiles had in it were as menial laborers and shabbus Goy.
One would think that after half a century of turmoil and all the eye-opening statements that have come from the mouths of various Israeli partisans that the intelligentsia within the Gentile world would begin to ‘get it’, and yet, day after day, week after week, this ridiculous discussion continues about the ‘differences’ between Zionism and its parent corporation, Judaism.

A coalition is still in the offing, and in the meantime Knesset members from Shas and Yesh Atid are finding the time to bicker online.
The drama began when Knesset member Dr. Ruth Calderon, number 13 on the Yesh Atid list, noted the exit of Arab members from the Knesset hall when the anthem was played. “It saddens me that Arab members left the hall before the playing of the anthem. Does anyone know of efforts to correct the words of the anthem so that all citizens of the country would be included?”she wrote on her Facebook wall.
This elicited sharp response from Shas frontman Eli Yishai. “I was astonished to learn that there was the idea to delete the word ‘Jew’ from the anthem.
“Yes, we have some disagreements with Yesh Atid but there are some issues I thought were not in dispute, like the Jewish character of the State of Israel. I want to inform those who are not aware – Israel is a Jewish state! I doubt if Yesh Atid’s voters intended for their party to try to change the state’s identity.”
These squabbles follow meetings Sunday afternoon between members of Avigdor Lieberman’s faction with the heads of the program for the establishment of a new form of government. “Lapid is an acceptable partner for government, as long as he understands that he is a senior partner in a coalition and not the acting prime minister,” Leiberman said.
He added that a change in the form of government is not a condition for joining the coalition and noted that Yesh Atid supports these changes, but that Lapid must still understand his place.
Lieberman said that a change in the form of government is critical to Yisrael Beiteinu. “There is an opportunity for history to bring this subject into the foundation of Israel, and to obligate the Knesset and the new government to further the subject during the Knesset’s first session.
“Public backing is important, and I am willing to be flexible in order to move this change forward,” he added. Lieberman was referring to the establishment of a governing presidential office, a subject which he had raised in the past.
Participating in the meeting were heads of governance organizations. Professor Uriel Reichman, chair of A Constitution for Israel said of the proposal, “The prime minister will get additional powers. He will be able to appoint ministers without approval of the Knesset. He will have limited veto power.”

I agree that Israel is Jewish state and, as such, as Zionist state— as well as a racist state and ideology. When I talk about Jews who are not Zionists, I am referring to Jews who do not send monies to Israel, do not have any desire to move to Israel, and agree the whole thought of a Jew-only state IS racist. And I know a lot of Jews like that.
Maybe it has to do with where I grew up, where Jews segregated themselves into different groups; from Ultra-Orthodox (Zionists) to Progressives (mixed bag, though most don’t give Israel a second thought except to realise how that little state has done so much damage in this world as well as the US govt.)
So I have a hard time hating all Jews. If all Jews agreed with a state for Jews, only, I probably wouldn’t be bothered differentiating my feelings.
Perhaps a lot of those I know and even live around, now, are Jews by ancestry, only? Then again, I have rabbis on the other side of me (my home) and they are terrible Zionist Jews who work the deli (and Shadow can tell you more of what i think of them– haha)

@annebeck58 the questions you needs to ask yourself then is why would anyone want to label themselves as “Jews” as associate with such a malevolent ideology? Are they not assisting, benefiting and obtaining supremacist privilege from those Jews who do?

Why would they label themselves as Jews? Do you think they do? I think the rest of society does this for them. And, given that most of those I know were raised in Jewish homes (and some do still attend temple– either Progressive Synagogues or the occasional Sabbath in any temple), so what would you call them?
Even if they do not believe, at all, they are still considered and called or labeled, Jews. Even Gilad Atzmon who says he’s a, “past Jew”, is called a Jew. Have you labeled him a Jew? If so, why?

Oh, and by the way, @Deadbeat: What about the Jews who do not study and do not agree with the Talmud? There are plenty of that ilk. When (where) I grew up, in a neighborhood comprised of Catholics and Jews, we always knew there were Talmudic-Jews and there were Torah-Jews. Torah-Jews looked down on Talmudic-Jews, and it went both ways.
What about the NK Jews, mainly in New York, who consider the state of Israel an abomination? Are they not Jews when they do denounce Zionism and study the Torah? I think they are. In fact, i think they are the true-Jews and that Zionist/Talmudic Jews are not the Jews of any history. In my opinion, and I’ve said this many times, Zionism IS the scourge of all decent Jews. And they know this.

Perhaps many of you are already aware of the following. According to the the testimony within the bible, the ancient House of Israel is never referred to as “Jewish” or as a “Jewish people”. In fact, before the 18th Century A.D. (C.E.), there was no such terms as “Jew” or “Jewish” within any English Bible.
Since then, all English translations of the Bible contain the modern and invented term “Jew”, which is a reference to either the House of Judah _consisted of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi _ or the land called “Judea”.
In short, modern so-called “Israel” is an impostor, a counterfeit of the ancient House of Israel and, in my opinion, most of the world, especially the deluded Christian Zionists, are deceived on this matter.

Ron, I’ve thought the same, after studying the bible for years. I don’t know how they get away with calling it, “israel”, or how so-called Christians go along with that. Something tells me they’ve been looking so desperately for the, “promised land”, so desperately, and they needed something on earth to reassure themselves it’s real.
Definitely, I do not believe this state called, “Israel”, has a thing to do with the bible or the Christian faith(s). And I think this was by design. It’s fooled a heck of a lot of non-Jews, in my opinion.
