Obama Blinks, the Lobby Gloats

By Dr Lasha Darkmoon
Obama has begun to show signs of weakness and instability, his recent appeasement of the Israel lobby over the Freeman falala being an ominous example of his impotence. Will this  limp-wristed and laissez-faire president be able to halt the headlong rush to a new war in the Middle East?
Speaking to a Jewish friend the other day about the Freeman debacle and its significance, I ventured to express my concern over the formidable power of the Israel lobby. “Where’s it all going to end?” I sighed. He fixed me with a baleful eye. “Iran!” he crowed.  “That’s where it’s going to end!”
Make no mistake: Iran was what the Freeman imbroglio was all about. Freeman was merely an irritating obstacle that had to be kicked out of the way on the road to Iran. The lynching of this loyal public servant is a chilling proof that the Israel Lobby is now in control of America. Nor will the Lobby rest until Iran, like Iraq, lies in ruins. [1]
Let’s review the basic facts.
On February 19 an important announcement was made. Charles W. Freeman, a distinguished Arabist whose love for Israel was insufficiently ardent, was appointed to the key post of chairman of the National Intelligence Council (NIC). He had been selected for this post by Admiral Dennis Blair, director of national intelligence. Blair had made the mistake of assuming that Freeman’s stellar talents and fitness for the job — his fluency in several languages, his experience of diplomacy, his judicious realism, his perspicacity and his patriotism — would all somehow compensate for his tepid feelings toward a foreign country built on stolen land.
Within hours of the announcement of Freeman’s appointment, the American agents of this foreign country, Israel, went into action.
It is perhaps unfortunate that the first of these agents, though he owns an American passport, had already given ample proof that the interests of Israel meant more to him than the interests of America.  A former official of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the man’s name is Steve Rosen; and he is currently on trial for violations of the Espionage Act. [2]
This impudent traitor was soon to be joined by other agents for Israel. Launching a “thunderous, coordinated assault” [3] against Freeman, this swarm of hissing hornets included such luminaries as Jonathan Chait of the New Republic, Michael Goldfarb of the Weekly Standard, Jeffrey Goldberg of the Atlantic, Gabriel Schoenfeld of the Wall Street Journal, Jonah Goldberg of the National Review, and Martin Peretz of the New Republic.
What these Israel Firsters said between them was enough to bring Freeman down. It didn’t matter that what they said was untrue. What mattered only was that it was sufficiently nasty; that is to say, nasty enough to produce the desired effect of enforcing silence and an ignominious surrender to its dictates. “The tactics of the Israel lobby,” Freeman was to complain later, “plumb the depths of dishonour and indecency and include character assassination, selective misquotation, the wilful distortion of the record, the fabrication of falsehoods, and an utter disregard for the truth.” [4]
And so Freeman resigned. Or was given the push. The scenario probably goes something like this:
Senator Chuck Schumer, a stern critic of Freeman — “wrong man for this position” [5] — conveys his concerns to White House Chief of Staff  Rahm Emanuel.  Proud son of an Irgun terrorist and Obama’s chief minder, Emanuel naturally has identical “concerns” and needs no reminding that Freeman is bad news. [6]
Emanuel then whispers honeyed words in Obama’s ears. Obama understands his instructions. Picking up the phone, he calls DNI Blair and speaks in the dull monotone of a well-trained Manchurian candidate. Blair gets the message. Blair then calls Freeman and breaks the news. “Chas, Obama’s wimped out. He’s thrown you to the wolves. He says you gotta spend more time with your family.”
Freeman starts writing his resignation statement.
Meanwhile, back at the White House, Emanuel is on his cell phone to ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu in Israel. Bibi punches the air when he hears about Freeman’s castration. He calls Avigdor Lieberman, Israel’s own answer to Hitler [7], and gives him the happy tidings. Avigdor dances with delight. “Iran, we gotcha now!” he drools.
And so there’s gloating all round in high places.
An absurd scenario? Of course. But who knows to what extent reality has begun to resemble the febrile fantasies of a Hollywood scriptwriter?
Isn’t it strange that those who have denounced Freeman as a shill for Saudi Arabia should think it quite acceptable to shill for Israel, a country that has constantly spied on America?
Having vociferated so loudly about Freeman’s lack of “evenhandedness” in regard to Israel, isn’t it odd that the same hotheads should raise no objections to Dennis Ross landing the Iran portfolio? — Ross who hangs out at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy,  itself a creation and front for AIPAC — which in turn, as everyone knows, is no more than an ad agency for Israel.
Finally, isn’t it like something out of Alice in Wonderland to think of Avigdor Lieberman — a man “who out-Sharons even Ariel Sharon” and whose solution to the Arab-Israeli problem includes drowning  Palestinians in the Dead Sea [8] — isn’t it weird to think that this Jewish Hitler will soon be visiting America to break bagels with Hillary Clinton? And this the lady who, when witnessing the recent destruction of 4000 homes in Gaza and the death of 1300 Palestinians (as opposed to 13 Israelis) could find nothing better to say than that these Israeli war crimes were — wait for it — “unhelpful”.
The question we need to ask ourselves is: who runs the madhouse? Is Obama in control of America? Or is he a puppet on an Israeli string?
Shortly before Freeman’s defenestration, foreign policy analyst Chris Nelson had this to say: “If Obama surrenders to the critics and orders Blair to rescind the Freeman appointment, it is difficult to see how he can properly exercise leverage, when needed, in his conduct of foreign policy in the Middle East.”  [9]
Some commentators believe that Obama did not in fact “blink”. He simply decided to humor the Israel lobby this one time — to sacrifice a pawn, so to speak, the better to improve his position on the chessboard. Deep down, Obama is seething. The Freeman affair has stiffened his sinews and hardened his resolve. Next time the Lobby had better watch out!
“This was a real pyrrhic victory,” an insider is reported to have told political pundit MJ Rosenberg. “One, the administration is pissed off. And two, Obama is going to be more determined than ever to take a strong stand on settlements, Gaza relief, and negotiations. They shot their wad on Freeman. They will not think that was so smart a few months from now.” [10]
Wishful thinking, methinks.
Whether the Lobby is trembling in its boots or not, the simple fact remains that they have chalked up another victory. Not only have they savaged Freeman, but they have now begun to snap at DNI Blair’s heels [11]; and to view Obama with increasing malevolence.
What kind of nut, they are asking, could have appointed Freeman in the first place? And how come Obama didn’t do something about Freeman at the outset — this “fanatic” (Jonathan Chait), this “bought man” (Martin Peretz), this “shill for the Saudis (Michael Goldfarb), this “China-coddling Israel basher” (Gabriel Schoenfeld), this “lapdog” and “blinkered ideologue” with his “odious” views (Rich Lowry) [12] — hey, how come Obama didn’t whack this monkey as he went scrambling up the palm tree, before he got himself into a position to lob political coconuts at nice Americans with Israeli passports? [13]
Obama has an answer to that one. He knew nothing about Freeman’s appointment to one of the most important posts in his administration. Nobody told him. They didn’t run it past him. Hey boys, gimme a break, I’m only the President!
It would appear that AIPAC and the Jewish neoconservatives who blow the trumpet for Israel in the Weekly Standard, the New Republic, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and other such organs of hasbara for Israel, have a weak point. Their Achilles heel is their very Jewishness. This exposes them to constant accusations of disloyalty, of putting Israel’s interests before America’s. [14]
The convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, though he remains their secret hero, is also their nemesis. If Steve Rosen, Freeman’s most implacable attacker, should end up sharing a prison cell with his accomplice in crime, Larry Franklin, more salt to the wound.
It is significant that Freeman, in his resignation statement, makes the disloyalty accusation no fewer than three times:
“I do not believe the National Intelligence Council could function effectively while its chair was under constant attack by unscrupulous people with a passionate attachment to the views of a political faction in a FOREIGN country.” (My emphasis)
Again:  “There is a special irony in having been accused of improper regard for the opinions of foreign governments and societies by a group so clearly intent on enforcing adherence to the policies of a FOREIGN government – in this case, the government of Israel.”
And yet again: “I regret that my willingness to serve the new administration has ended by casting doubt on its ability to consider, let alone decide, what policies might best serve the interests of the United States rather than those of a Lobby intent on enforcing the will and interests of a FOREIGN  government.”  [15]
Foreign, foreign, foreign! Every repetition of that word is like a hammer blow to those who would like to convince the world that Israel is NOT a foreign country. That it is a loyal little outpost of America. Its fifty-first state in all but name. What is good for Israel is good for America. They have identical interests. The are joined at the hip like Siamese twins. Or so we are told by those who want America to continue to subsidize Israel, arm it to the teeth, condone its atrocities, connive at its landgrabbing, and fight its cruel wars.
These seemingly innocuous words that form the coda of Freeman’s swan song are perhaps freighted with a hidden meaning : “I retain my respect and confidence in President Obama and DNI Blair. Our country now faces terrible challenges abroad as well as at home. Like all patriotic Americans, I continue to pray that our president can successfully lead us in surmounting them.” [16]
What “terrible challenges” face the President “at home” — apart from dealing with an economic disaster set in motion by Wall Street moneymen and by a man now facing a lengthy prison sentence for siphoning $65 billion out of the American economy and into mysterious offshore accounts, many of them reportedly in Israel? (17)
I asked an anti-Zionist correspondent of  mine to speculate on what these domestic “challenges” facing Obama might be. His emailed response to me was so vitriolic that I quote it only with trepidation: “Can these challenges have anything to do with getting rid,” he raged, “of an EVIL INCUBUS that is now using America, as it once used Germany, as its ravishing concubine and RAPE VICTIM?  How many senators and congressmen are being bribed and blackmailed right now? Are there no honourable men left in America,  no patriots, no dragonslayers to deliver it from this scourge? Why is Obama sucking Rahm Emanuel’s dick? And when is Netanyahu going to move into the White House and start giving the orders?”
As a bemused philosemite, I can only say that such sentiments — straight out of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion [18] — are inappropriate and regrettable [19]
That the Zionists and their ideological antagonists now face each other across a narrow divide, fangs bared and hackles bristling, can be inferred from this ominous exchange between DNI Blair and his inquisitor Senator Joe Lieberman.
Asked by Lieberman, during a United States Committee on Armed Services hearing, why Blair had seen fit to appoint Freeman head of the National Intelligence Council, Blair replied blandly: “I think I can do a better job if I’m getting strong analytical views to sort out and pass on to you and to the president than if I’m getting precooked pablum judgements that don’t really challenge.”
“Precooked pablum judgements” is one of those rapier phrases calculated to pink a Zionist opponent. Lieberman must have winced.  He knew well enough that this was a sly dig at Israeli “intelligence” and the neoconservative propagandists who had misled the previous president into an illegal war on fabricated evidence, forgery, and a farrago of lies.
Blair was in effect saying that the same liars who had pushed America into a foolish war in Iraq were now doing their damndest to push America into a foolish war in Iran. And he, Blair, wasn’t going to stand for it! Well, we’ll see about that, Lieberman replied in so many words, not without a smidgen of insolence. “I guess I would say, ‘to be continued’”, he sneered. [20]
Lieberman was to get his way. Freeman bowed out, and Blair got his nose bloodied in the process. As for Obama, did he lift a finger in support of his own men? No, Obama sat twiddling his thumbs by the White House windows, humming a little tune to himself: “Nobody is suffering more/than the Palestinian people…!” [21]
When all is said and done, the buck stops with Obama.
“Obama faced the lobby eyeball to eyeball and blinked.” [22] He tucked his tail between his legs and then rolled over and let Rahm Emanuel tickle his tummy. Political maestro or Manchurian candidate? President of America or Zionist puppet? Take your pick.
Retired CIA officer Ray McGovern does not mince his words when talking of America’s pusillanimous new president. Obama, he says, “is afraid to take on the Lobby. Most will interpret the new president’s acquiescence in this charade as a sign of weakness — of his not being his own man. This is a distinct liability as Obama prepares to meet next month with the likes of Vladimir Putin who will take his measure….Obama will have to beat Putin at his own game — and Obama has now shown himself easy to push around.” [23]
If Obama can’t stand up to the son of an Israeli terrorist and the Zionist firebrands who buzz around him like a swarm of angry bees — if he can’t tell the Boltons and the Kristols, the Podhoretzes and the Perles, the Frums and the Krauthammers, to go take a hike — how is going to stand up to the most powerful man in Russia?
What if Putin should decide to build a base on Cuba? Or plant America-bound missiles on a small island off the coast of Venezuela, courtesy of Hugo Chavez?  [24]  Would Obama have the guts to stand up to Putin as Kennedy once stood up to Kruschev? Or would he wilt at the knees and send for the smelling salts?
“From the president down, no one is safe!” the inimitable Taki tells us.  [25]

Lasha, you’re an absolute genius! This article is totally brilliant! By the way, when did you get your doctorate? Gosh, we’ll have to call you “Dr Darkmoon” from now on!

  2. #2 by Ruth Bernstein on 03/20/2009 - 9:34

I will have more to say about this crappy article tomorrow. I have just finished reading it and I can scarcely believe than any sane person should want to say horrible things like this. Anyone would think there was a Jewish world conspiracy or something.

Chas Freeman was a subversive. Little better than a terrorist. He was a shill for Saudi Arabia. An approver of Chinese massacres. A Holocaust denier, too, and an out-and-out anti-Semite. All the Jews hated him for the simple reason that he hated all the Jews. He had to go. Anyone who defends him is a total nutcase.

Lasha Darkmoon, just because you have a doctorate doesn’t mean you can go around giving yourself airs and graces. I don’t like the way you write at all. Your prose style is much too fancy for my taste. In fact, you’re pretty pathetic.

  3. #3 by Montecristo on 03/20/2009 - 9:34

    Dr Darkmoon,

Thank you for bringing Melanie Phillips to our attention. This Zionist fanatic lives in London, England, and has written a book attacking all Muslims as potential terrorists. (“Londonistan: How Britain Is Creating a Terror State Within”).

The lady is obviously a fruitcake. Stark raving mad. She has to be a serious liability to the Zionist cause.

    Note 13:

Here is Phillips in fine frenzy, giving full vent to her hysteria: “The Obama administration is preparing the ground TO THROW ISRAEL TO THE WOLVES OF IRAN. The dominant faction in DC has decided that a nuclear Iran is something America will have to live with; to live with it, America must do a deal with it; that deal will consist of ISRAEL DELIVERED TO IT BOUND AND GAGGED, IN EXCHANGE FOR WHICH IRAN WILL LEAVE THE US ALONE. Except that of course it would not leave the US alone. On the contrary, AN INCINERATED ISRAEL WOULD BE THE GALVANIC IMPETUS FOR A NUCLEAR IRAN TO FINISH OFF BOTH AMERICA AND EUROPE”. (It’s Payback Time].

Wow! Anyone who thinks that Iran — a country that hasn’t started a war for 300 years and doesn’t even have a SINGLE nuclear weapon — is going to “incinerate” Israel and then wipe out the whole of Western civilization, must really have it bad!

Melanie, I reckon you belong in a loony bin.

    Dr Darkmoon,

I’ve just been trawling the internet for further articles written by you, and I’d like to cut and paste this highly relevant passage from an article you wrote last year:

“I would like to add a few words on Melanie Phillips. Ms Phillips writes for British newspapers and magazines. Her strident voice is to be heard weekly on BBC Radio 4’s The Moral Maze. Her mad eyes appall the viewer on BBC One’s Question Time. She is everywhere — and she is altogether abhorrent. She is one of David Icke’s reptiles wrapped in human skin.

She describes Mearsheimer and Walt’s brilliant exposé, ‘The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy’, as “a particularly ripe example of the global Zionist conspiracy libel”, and she accuses its authors of “misrepresentation and distortion.” She accuses the Archbishop of Canterbury of “anti-Semitism” for complaining about the plight of Bethlehem Christians under Israeli occupation. She insists that his failure to criticize the President of Iran for “his desire to destroy Israel” is “paving the way for a second Holocaust”. She says the Palestinians are an “artificial people” who can quite rightly be subjected to collective punishment for “acts of terrorism committed by Islamic terrorists”. (This therefore entails, contrary to international law, the wanton destruction of innocent civilians). She describes Jimmy Carter and James Baker as “kept creatures of the Arab world”, adding that “they are intent on smoothing the path to Israel’s destruction.”

Anyone carrying a Quran or wearing a hijab is a potential terrorist in this frothing fruitcake’s eyes.

My source for much of the above is Wikipedia, so discount it if you wish. I have no idea if she is still poisoning the airways on radio and television, since I gave up watching TV and listening to radio long ago. Suffice it to say that this maniacal crank, mad as a March hare, is given free rein in our country to poison the minds of the masses. There is no one to stop her.”

Dr Darkmoon, has anyone told you this is “hate speech”?!?

    To Montecristo:

The article you quote from in which I attack Melanie Phillips so viciously (“Don’t Mention the Jew”) was written a few months ago. I have moved on since then and would no longer, I hope, resort to such cheap abuse. I deeply regret resorting to the language of the gutter. I would have done better to make use of polite understatement.

I have learnt much since then from Mark Glenn, a man who knows well how to wield the rapier. No sledgehammers or ripsaws for Mark.

One of my antizionist mentors from the past, a brilliant mathematician called John Lobro who is at present hiding out from the Mossad in Central America, has also taught me much about the inner nature and agenda of the Jews. Then there is Naseer Ahmad of Toronto, poet, polymath and holistic healer, whose insights and kind counsels have helped to restore my faith in humanity. Nor must I forget Traducteur, Hoarsewhisperer, Moonkoon, Rowan and Laurie who have more brains in their little fingers than most people have in their heads. (I cannot mention their real names because they, too, are in hiding).

All for now, Montecristo. Thank you for reading my article and responding to it. Incidentally, I emailed a copy of it yesterday to antizionist activist Israel Shamir. I did not expect to hear from this world-famous Christian convert. This morning I was surprised to get a reply:

“Thank you! Very nice! I did send it out. Care to say more about yourself? Shamir.”

I wrote back, briefly, but Shamir is a busy man and I don’t expect to hear from him again.

    1. if quoting your anti-Zionist pen pal fills you with such fear and trembling, why quote him or her in the first place? why not just keep quiet?

    2. the quote you give is pretty disgusting. it verges on the obscene and is extremely disrespectful to our President. hey, i wouldn’t be surprised if you made these words up yourself!

this is the passage i’m referring to, you should have left it out like i said, cuz there no proof you didn’t write it yourself:

you talk about Jewish “warmongers” trying to pick a fight with iran, and obama giving the green light to these people like he’s some sort of manchurian candidate or zionist puppet. listen lady, obama’s doing his damndest to be nice to iran, he’s making overtures and bending over backweards to get those crazy mullahs to see reason and stop stocking up on nukes so they wipe israel off the map. where you been lady?

“limp-wristed president?” GIVE ME A BREAK!

    To Arctic Fox:

As Dr Darkmoon’s research assistant, I thought you wouldn’t mind if I replied to your attack on her. (She’s not feeling too well today).

I think you are right to find fault with the passage you call “libellous, “defamatory” and “disrespectful to our President”. With hindsight, I guess it would have been better if we had left out the sentence “Why is Obama sucking Rahm Emanuel’s dick?” This is not a nice way to speak.

However, this is what Dr Darkmoon’s correspondent actually said in his email. Not to have quoted his comment in its entirety would have been a form of censorship. It would have emasculated what he had said.

This is exactly the type of robust comment you might expect to hear from the man in the street. This is how people talk in the real world. Sure, you wouldn’t hear this type of frank talk in the New York Times. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why this newspaper is no longer held in such high esteem — because it suppresses the truth and even spreads outright lies. (Like it did in the period leading up to the Iraq war, for example, with the help of discredited journalist Judith Miller).

As for your suggestion that Dr Darkmoon may have “made up the comment” herself, of course there’s no way we can PROVE the authenticity of the comment apart from copying and pasting the email itself!

To have done so would have been to betray our source.

How would you feel if you sent a friend of yours a confidential email and he/she betrayed you by spreading it all over the internet?

Quoting unattributed sources is common practice. Every journalist does it. Almost every source quoted in Seymour Hersh’s exposés is an anonymous individual — “an unnamed source at the White House”, “a spokesman for the Pentagon”, “an official at the State Department”, or “a Congressman speaking off the record.”

In quoting an unnamed email correspondent, there’s nothing Dr Darkmoon is doing that is not accepted practice.

At the same time, please note Dr Darkmoon’s meticulous reference notes — no fewer than 25 of them. Every fact, statement and quotation is given its source. With a click of the mouse, you can check, verify and authenticate every arguable point or dubious speculation.

Headline in Daily Telegraph: Iran rejects Barack Obama’s hand of friendship

“Iran’s all-powerful ayatollahs have brushed aside US president Barack Obama’s historic offer to end the three-decade long hostility between the two countries.”

I guess Arctic Fox has been taken in by articles like the above. Anyone with half a dozen brain cells knows that Obama is just playing Mr Nice Guy. Heck, unlike the warlike George W. Bush, Obama is a man of peace! See, he’s making overtures to Iran! He’s putting out feelers to Syria! He’s talking to the Taliban in a friendly way!

And what’s all this kindness and concern all in aid of?

It’s no more than a smart-assed little game dreamt up for him by Rahm Emanuel and his Zionist minders. Pure theatre. A lot of hot air.

Obama’s not interested in making peace with the Islamic world. He just wants the folk back home think he’s really TRYING HARD — trying to build bridges, to be a peacemaker, to get these Muslim “fanatics” in Iran and Syria and Afghanistan to give up their evil ways and act like model citizens, ie like Americans!

Later, when war breaks out, he wants the dumb clucks that make up a sizeable chunk of the American population to say: “Obama tried. Jeeze, how he tried! But those f***ing Muslims just weren’t interested in peace!”

Obama’s “peace talk” is no more than a prelude to war.

The Daily Telegraph (see link above) says:

Speaking a day after Mr Obama broadcast a message inviting the Iranian people to a “new beginning”, the country’s supreme spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, dismissed it as a “slogan”.

“They give the slogan of change but in practice no change is seen,” said Mr Khamenei in a televised address on Saturday to mark Iranian New Year. “We haven’t seen any change.”

Precisely. No change at all. America is simply ISSUING INSTRUCTIONS to Iran to cease and desist from its nuclear program! If Iran fails to comply, then Iran is being “difficult and troublesome”. It’s “failing to compromise”. It’s refusing to “accept the olive branch” extended by a generous and bighearted America.

Amazing how propaganda works. Not to accept unreasonable American demands is regarded as equivalent to spitting in America’s face! You’re declaring war on America by saying: “Sorry, we’re a sovereign country and we don’t take orders from you.”

Please note that nothing that Iran is doing is in breach of its treaty obligations. Unlike Israel, it is abiding by international law. It has committed no flagrant atrocities. It is not engaged in ethnic cleansing. It does not build apartheid walls on other people’s territory. It does not occupy their farms, uproot their olive trees, steal their water, demolish their houses, break the bones of children, or incinerate civilians huddled in confined urban areas.

“… obama’s doing his damndest to be nice to iran, he’s making overtures and bending over backweards to get those crazy mullahs to see reason and stop stocking up on nukes so they wipe israel off the map.”

Iran doesn’t pose a threat to anyone. Israel is the threat.

The problem is how to wrench the nuclear weapons out of the hands of the crazed and genocidal Jewish rabbis.

Let’s say that Iran does manage to acquire nuclear weapons (and there is no evidence that Iran is trying to do that). If that were to happen, it would only mean that there would be a balance of power “stand-off” in the Middle East, where neither side would be willing to act out of fear of retaliation.

War against Iran is turning out to be a “hard sell” for even the most seasoned of zionist liars and con-artists. The newsmedia, which is little more than a propaganda arm of the Knesset, is once again churning out voluminous reams of propaganda, the goal of which is to incite yet another attack against a harmless “goy” nation in the Middle East (Iran); and yet the anti-Iranian propaganda is simply far too reminiscent of the lead-up to the US invasion of Iraq, and that’s why people just aren’t buying into it.

Israel can only succeed in suckering the brain-dead goyim into war, by staging one of their patented “false flag” attacks.

You’ve been brainwashed by all the anti-Zionist propaganda that websites like this keep churning out. The internet is awash with wacky views. You’ve been infected by it all, just like Mark Glenn and all the other nuts who have descended on this website like a plague of locusts.

How can you talk about the news media being “little more than a propaganda arm of the Knesset”? Such extreme views are not welcome. They make you sound like Hitler.

Get a life, Friend of the Goyim — and become a Friend of the Chosen!

Okay, I’m odd (wo)man out on this website. I’m a square peg in a round hole, fighting the corner here for Israel in a hostile environment.

I’m here on sufferance. Because Mark Glenn has seen fit to allow me to speak. He could easily block my posts, but for some strange reason he doesn’t. I can’t figure him out, but I’m not going to try. I’ m here to convert him to my point of view. And one day I will.

Yes, and I’ll win you round too, Friend of the Goyim, if you give me a chance.

Sure, we’ve been accused of many atrocities, and we’ve been forced to cut corners and break international law a few times — most reluctantly, I might add — but all this bloodshed is a means to a noble end. You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs.

Once we’re in control, you’ll see — everything will be better! There’ll be peace on earth. It’s just the getting there that’s so hard.

So refreshing to hear from you again, Friend of the Goyim. You’re like a breath of fresh air. I hope you’ll hang around and continue to give the other posters on this site the benefit of your views.

You say: “The problem is how to wrench the nuclear weapons out of the hands of the crazed and genocidal Jewish rabbis.” And later, if I’m not mistaken, you seem to imply that if Iran were to acquire nuclear weapons it wouldn’t be a bad idea at all. It would restore a balance of power in the Middle East, resulting in a “stand-off” between Israel and her enemies.

I couldn’t agree with you more.

This is precisely why Israel cannot afford to let Iran acquire a nuclear capacity. When Israel says Iran is an “existential threat” to it, Israel is not exactly lying. Iran naturally has no intention of nuking Israel or “wiping it off the map”. But if Iran were to acquire a nuclear deterrent, Israel would then cease to be Top Dog. It would no longer be able to intimidate its neighbors so easily. It would have to watch its step.

And that’s one thing Israel doesn’t WANT to do: watch its step. It wants to be free to continue to act with impunity.

All in a good cause, of course: the expansion of its borders until Eretz-Israel is achieved.

You already know all this though. I doubt if I’m teaching you anything new.

  22. #22 by Xanadu on 03/23/2009 - 9:34

So where does the Freeman affair leave us vis-à-vis Iran? Is Iran really “in the cross-hairs” (as the article says in its final paragraph) now that Freeman has been forced to retire and the crazies appear to be in control? Is an attack on Iran imminent and inevitable?

There are two schools of thought on this: those who think an attack is coming and who seem to be in the majority, and those who think an attack is unlikely and who belong (I would say) to a sophisticated minority.

I remember an interesting exchange on this topic on Niqnaq between Berkeley and Hoarsewhisperer. Berkeley had been reflecting on the possibility of an attack, and Hoarsewhisper had assured him it wasn’t coming, to which Berkeley had then replied: “Well, I hope you’re right.”

What are Hoarsewhisperer’s arguments for the unlikelihood of such an attack? In my opinion, they are extremely good ones; and I too hope that Hoarsewhisperer is right. The arguments can be summarised in one word: Putin.

Putin is not going to stand by and see Iran attacked. He is going to come to Iran’s defence, either directly or indirectly. China, too, is unlikely to stand by and do nothing. It has the capacity to bring America to its knees by dumping the dollar.

The Americans were cock-a-hoop in 1979 when they managed to draw the Soviets into “the Afghan trap”. This led to the demise of the Soviet Union. Right now the Americans must be asking themselves whether Russia is not now playing an identical cat-and-mouse game with them, i.e., trying to draw them into “the Iran trap”.

The consequences for America of being drawn into an Iranian quagmire, could, in other words, be truly horrendous. Iraq could go up in flames and the situation there become apocalyptic. Israel would have to think twice about nuking Teheran, especially if Russia warned them that any such misbehavior would result in a devastating attack on Tel Aviv.

All these considerations make an attack on Iran less likely.

Hoarsewhisperer and his school of thought, though their arguments are persuasive, fail to take one fact into consideration. They are assuming that nations behave rationally. Nations DON’T behave rationally. Certainly not nations like Israel!

Just as suicidal people go hurtling over cliff tops and into the sea, like the Gadarene swine, so it is with nations. Both men and nations are subject to obsessive-compulsive disorders. America and Israel, possessed by their own demons, are capable of anything.

And thanks to Mark Glenn for not removing these comments so as all to see. These “rank & file Jews” complain that “all Jews aren’t criminal” yet they can continually be relied upon by their criminal element to tribalistically run interference whenever necessary, thus incriminating all of Jewry by association.

“Friend of the Goyim?” What sort of name is that?

It means that I am a friend of the people who are being mass-murdered by the IDF. It also means that I am a friend of the Amalekites and the Hittites and the Negroes, and the Irishmen and the Eskimos and the Cherokees and the Ojibwa, and just about every other group or class that falls outside the pale of your tribal-based pseudo-morality. I am also a friend of the Jews. In fact, I happen to be a former yeshiva student.

<< Anyone who is a friend of the goyim is no friend of mine!

I’m taking your statement as a bald-faced admission on your part, that, as a Jew, that you generally don’t harbor any qualms about lying and stealing and committing murder, but only on the condition that your victims are “goyim” (i.e. non-Jews) who fall outside the boundaries of your tribal-based pseudo-morality (as codified in the talmud-torah) and according to which only Jews and nobody else are considered human.

The IDF doesn’t harbor any qualms about murdering babies and their mothers, and this is Jewish morality in action. If you want to justify the criminal actions of the IDF, all you have to do is, a) tell a whole bunch of outright and blatant lies, and then b) you mix them with with a liberal helping of rationalization, and then, voila ! all is forgiven, your crimes are washed away, and the IDF can continue to engage in more crimes as per what the Torah commands.

A former yeshiva student? This is interesting. So what are you doing on an anti-Zionist site like this? Are you trying to convert the goyim to our viewpoint and make them understand the error of their ways? Or are you a self-hating Jew like Chomsky and Finkelstein, Israel Shamir and Gilad Atzmon?

I draw to your attention a marvellous book called “From Time Immemorial” (1984) by Joan Peters which explains how the land of Israel really belongs to us Jews, and always has done, the Palestinians being no more than illegal squatters.

The brilliant Alan Dershowitz has praised this book in his seminal tome “The Case for Israel”. So has Daniel Pipes here:

I think people should stop knocking Israel. Forget about all the deaths in Gaza and so on. These things happen in war, shit happens, kids get killed. That’s life, let’s move on…

    Dear Dr Lasha Darkmoon

Compelling article Dr. Darkmoon and let me pick it up where you left off that is with a quote from Mr. Ray McGovern who was the guest on The Liberty Hour with Phil Tourney and Mark Glenn last Saturday, March 21st. He talked about dreadful blowbacks if the Jewish Lobby was to carry on: “I think we would do our Jewish brothers and sisters a big service if we would brace them on the list and tell them look: no one wants to see this kind of blowback. And so do try to restrain your friends which are a minority, your friends, the Jewish people of this country who comprised the Israel Lobby, who funded and who see this one-sided view that Israel has to quote defend itself unquote at any cost. The cost is going to be immeasurable if they don’t rein in the crazies.”

But prior to that we had Paul Wolfowitz’ father Jacob talking from his grave when Mr. McGovern related of an email he received just after the start of the Irak war, six years ago, from somebody who grew up close and knew the Wolfowitz’ family. “Jacob was a Zionist thru and thru but he was first and foremost an American. And I can just imagine what Jacob is thinking today. I can just almost hear him from his grave saying: Paul [pause] Paul you really screwed up this time by putting Israel’s interests in front of the interests of our country. I know exactly what prompted you to do this. It was this ultra-Zionist sentiment that I was partially responsible for in inculcating in you. It was wrong Paul. It was really wrong. I’m terribly disappointed in you.”

If only these sober thoughts could prevail but Zionists’ actions in the United States are unflappable and unstoppable at this juncture I’m obliged to say. Everyday brings more gruesome examples and a further entrenchment of their loathsome behavior. One never stops to be surprised or more to the point disgusted. That’s what happened to me when I watched the latest Alex Jones’ film The Obama Deception.

In it puppet master Rahm Emanuel first declares that: “Citizenship is not an entitlement program. It comes with responsibilities.” That goes in line with his calls in 2006 for a mandatory universal civil defense training which resulted today, March 24th, with the Senate passing legislation to create a multi-million civilian “army” in line with Obama’s compulsory national service agenda. This program could easily be turned into forced military services if need be and no one should doubt Emanuel’s acolytes and brethren willingness to make the conditions ripe. Senate Rubber Stamps National Enslavement Bill, Prison Planet. But the real blood-chilling statements are the following:

“That is if you’re on the no-fly list because you are known as maybe a possible terrorist, you can not buy a handgun in America.” More clarifications shortly thereafter: “If you are on that no-fly list, you’re access to the right to bear arm is canceled. Because you’re not part of the american family. You don’t deserve that right. There is no right for you if you are on that terrorist list.” We now have to contend with the Emanuel’s gall who blazes ex cathedra who belongs to the American family even though his true affiliation is much in contention.

Make no mistake. He is not only talking about the right to bear arm. The last sentence says it all: There is no right for you… That list has more than one million names on it and grows by 25 thousands a month. Whoever doesn’t follow the will of the apparatchiks may end up on the list whether it is for protesting America’s imperialism, or disagreeing to enroll in the new AmeriCorps in a near future. Rest assured that warmongers and blind apologists of Israel will be exempted but rather praised as in the past. That is no change you can believe in.

You want to step up to the plate and start fighting these monsters. No Way. Money is the sorcery of these wizards. Through the use of hyper-capitalism, they’re programming into our subconscience needs beyond our means, the horrid enchantement of cash driving most astray, destroying civilization as not a simple process of human endeavor. Our sense of belonging, of reaching towards and sharing with others is what is being used against us, usurping our humanity by evil one-upmanships. The true nature of humanity is together we are unity and they are division. While soulless, they endlessly divide us, tricking us deep into our soul. It’s an increasing battle to be awake, aware and stay alive from their constant onslaught. One has to muster the means to look within to find what is truly human instead of looking without to what they’re programming into us.

I leave you with a short audio clip from Alex Jones who is truly awakened to this reality. While taking calls on his last Sunday show, he admonished the Southern Poverty Law Center for treating whoever they disagree with as evil and he made a heartfelt plea to fight to the end. “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants” Thomas Jefferson. He realized as we must all do the sheer enormity of this agenda.

A fascinating question, Stephen, and one which I hope to address in a short article soon. On balance, I would say that it’s highly unlikely that Koestler was murdered. This is more likely to be a conspiracy theory. It’s particularly popular with avowed antisemites. One has therefore to be on one’s guard against it!

You must remember that Koestler himself was not only an ardent Zionist — he had once lived on a kibbutz — but he was also an Ashkenazi Jew. In writing The Thirteenth Tribe, it was not his intention to embarras his fellow Jews by pointing out that they had no right to the Holy Land since most of them (95%) had originated in Khazaria and were late converts to Judaism. It is a therefore a misconception to think of Koestler as a “self-hating Jew” and anti-Zionist of the Finkelstein type.

    Note this:

“Koestler stated that part of his intent in writing The Thirteenth Tribe was to DEFUSE ANTI-SEMITISM (my emphasis) by undermining the identification of European Jews with Biblical Jews, with the hope of rendering anti-Semitic epithets such as “Christ killers” inapplicable. Ironically, Koestler’s thesis that Ashkenazi Jews are not Semitic has become an important claim of many anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist groups.” (Wikipedia)

  36. #36 by Lasha Darkmoon on 03/25/2009 - 9:34

Consider, too, that if anyone had a strong motive for committing suicide, it would have to be a man like Koestler. Not only was he suffering from Parkinson’s disease and leukemia at the time of his death, but he was also a famous advocate of euthanasia and a member of the Hemlock Society. Two years prior to his death, in 1981, he had become vice president of EXIT, an organization now known as the Voluntary Euthanasia Society.

Koestler almost certainly died in a suicide pact with his wife. If the Zionists killed him, they would have had to kill his wife too. Do Zionists use sleeping pills to silence their victims? I don’t think so.

Dr David Kelly, the British biological weapons expert, is a different kettle of fish. Here is a man who died under the most mysterious circumstances. The British government conveniently decided it was suicide. Dr Kelly, unlike Koestler, had no motive for committing suicide, and he was almost certainly murdered by the Americans or the Brits.

Anyhow, by that point the American intellectual community realized that the Peters book was an embarrassment, and it sort of disappeared—nobody talks about it anymore. I mean, you still find it at newsstands in the airport and so on, but the best and the brightest know that they are not supposed to talk about it anymore: because it was exposed and they were exposed.

Re the Joan Peters book, From Time Immemorial, this was was first exposed as a fake by Norman Finkelstein at a time when it was still receiving rave reviews in the New York Times and other organs of Zionist propaganda in the US. This mendacious book helped to spread and reinforce all the old Zionist myths, e.g., that Palestine was “a land without a people for a people without a land” and that there had been no Palestinian people at all — they just didn’t exist! (Golda Meir actually said that).

If you haven’t read Finkelstein’s Beyond Chutzpah, I would strongly recommend it. It deals not only in detail with the Peters hoax, but with the Dershowitz plagiarism that followed it. Alan Dershowitz, Harvard law professor — also an advocate of torture — wrote a book in 2003 called The Case for Israel which Finkelstein was later to prove “a hoax of a hoax” i.e., Dershowitz’s book plagiarized Peter’s book which was itself an exercise in plagiarism.

Finkelstein denounced Dershowitz’s book on national TV as “a collection of fraud, falsification, plagiarism and nonsense.” Natural Dershy wasn’t too pleased to be exposed as a charlatan. And so he used his influence to get Finkelstein removed from his post at De Paul university.

If I am telling you things you already know, please accept my apologies.

You see with your own eyes, and in starker relief, the dreadful conditions under which many Americans are now being forced to live.

Will there be a revolution? Will the American people rise up and throw off their chains? Who will deliver them from the Ancient Enemy?

    Impossible questions to answer.

The American people — in fact, most of the Occident — is now undergoing Kierkegaard’s Sickness unto Death. We are being systematically desensitized, demoralized, dehumanized. We are being turned into a slave race.

    Obama Blinks, the Lobby Gloats
Monday, 23 March 2009 03:55 Dr Lasha Darkmoon

Unfortunately, Ziopedia is now another banned site in Dr Darkmoon’s part of England, i.e., within its public library system.

P.S. May I be so forthright as to request that Ruth Bernstein be blocked from responding to my post. He or She doesn’t have a soul to begin with so why bother. Thank You Mark.

    Yah-boo, snubs to you!

I have just received this kind email message from Israel Shamir:

“Keep writing, your articles are needed, and the responses were good. People feel however, that it is too early to bury Obama.”

By “responses”, Shamir means the responses he has received to the article on his personal website, Shamir Readers. Note that many people have not yet written Obama off — “too early to bury Obama.” I only hope this is true, and that Obama bares his teeth a bit more next time Rahm Emanuel starts telling him what to do!

After all, we don’t want Netanyahu moving into the White House, do we?

Dr Lasha Darkmoon, Obama Blinks, the Lobby Gloats

Google the above words into your search engine and you will get this result: “We did not find any results for: Dr Lasha Darkmoon, Obama Blinks, the Lobby Gloats. Please try a new query above.”

Strange indeed! Only YESTERDAY, if you had googled the identical words, Google provided a COMPLETE LIST (!) of all the websites on which Lasha’s article appeared. Now it’s gone down the memory hole! Vanished completely.

Am I imagining things, or is Google suppressing information and making it difficult to access anti-Zionist material?

This thread is now more or less played out, but I want to post a few quotations here purely for reference purposes. They come from Melanie Phillips, a woman I love to hate:

    1. “Freeman, a veteran Arabist who blamed 9/11 in part upon America’s policy towards Israel, was forced out through widespread concerns over his financial links to the Chinese and Saudi regimes and his apparent support for the repression of Chinese dissidents.”

Now you know! Freeman had to go because he hated democracy and was a fan of Chinese totalitarianism. (Nothing to do with Israel).

    2. “The big question is how the Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, could have appointed such a man — and what this tells us about President Obama’s attitude to the Middle East. To date, Obama has remained dismayingly silent about Freeman’s repugnant views.”

Note: the attack on DNI Blair has begun…and it is being extended now to Obama. (This point was made in LD’s article).

3.”Ignoring the grave risk that a [Palestinian] state would be an Islamist proxy for Iran and pose a mortal threat to Israel, the Obama administration intends to pressurise Israel to make yet further concessions. Hence the appointment of the appeasement-minded George Mitchell as Middle East envoy, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s bullish noises about achieving a two-state solution sooner rather than later.”

Note: to give the Palestinians a Bantustan state consisting of 10-15 per cent of historic Palestine is “a mortal threat to Israel.”

    4. “Instead of regarding Israel as a key ally in the wider defence of America and the free world, the Obama administration views its desire to defend itself against its enemies as an infernal nuisance to be overcome.”

Note: Obama is being stigmatized as ANTI-ISRAEL. Here we have an example of hasbara as intimidation.

Thanks for the kind words, Lalara and Xanadu.

    Here’s what Obama could do:

Nationwide/worldwide address to the peoples of the world. Excoriating the Zionist war mongers and enlisting the public’s help.
So the media would not run such a speech? Occupy the broadcast outlets. And, threaten to arrest the owners. He could do it. And, the world would support him.

It’s what he COULD do. Whether it’s what he WILL do is another story.

  53. #53 by Xanadu on 04/14/2009 - 9:34

A fascinating scenario, Vindix, but these things tend to happen only in novels. To my mind, Obama still remains an unknown quantity.

Some regard him with adulation, but it remains to be seen whether he will actually do anything to merit such high regard. His cowardly behavior over the Freeman affair does not bode well. The fact is, Obama blinked — and the Lobby gloated. The score so far: AIPAC 1, Obama 0.

Let’s hope Obama justifies your starry-eyed appraisal of him, Vindix. But remember one thing: great Americans who cross Israel usually get assassinated.

Obama has no privacy whatsoever. His every move is monitored. He is watched by hidden cameras, even in the bathroom. His reading matter is carefully selected for him, for it would be most unfortunate if he should be exposed to ideas that question the basic assumptions of his “minder” Rahm Emanuel, or his Iran expert Dennis Ross, or the Jewish neocons who like to call the shots in America.

Obama will be encouraged to get his information from the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the New Republic, the Weekly Standard, and other such organs of Zionist propaganda. He will be expected to watch Fox News. Every website he visits on the internet, assuming he is allowed to surf as he pleases, will be carefully noted. Every phone call he makes, however intimate, will be recorded — and someone in Israel will be eavesdropping.

Obama is much more than President of the United States. He is a prisoner in the White House. His prison guard is Rahm Emanuel.
