Nuclear power plants shut down in Germany

German nuclear plant

Ed note–Ostensibly, the reason for the nuclear reactors in Japan going into meltdown mode was an earthquake followed by a tsunami. No such dangers exist in Germany, yet they are shutting down their reactors–Do they know something the rest of us don’t, perhaps dealing with a computer worm known as Stuxnet designed to destroy reactors such as these?

Germany has temporarily shut down seven of its nuclear reactors while it reconsiders its nuclear strategy.

Chancellor Angela Merkel said that all reactors operational before 1980 would be taken offline, and safety checks carried out on the remaining plants.

The move comes after concerns about radiation leaks at a Japanese plant after last Friday’s earthquake.

The EU has also reached agreement on “stress tests” of all European nuclear facilities.

“We want to look at the risk and safety issues in the light of events in Japan,” the European energy commissioner Guenther Oettinger said.

‘Out of service’

Chancellor Merkel also pointed to the safety concerns behind the German move.

“In light of the situation, we will carry out a safety check of all nuclear plants,” she said.

“Those nuclear power plants which began operation before 1980 will be provisionally shut down for the duration of the moratorium. They will be out of service.

“Safety is the priority. Those are the criteria by which we acted today.”

All safety questions would be answered by 15 June, she said.

Last year, Germany decided to extend the life of its 17 nuclear power plants by 12 years, but that decision was suspended for three months on Monday.

The government had faced growing pressure for the extension to be scrapped.

More than a quarter of all German electricity comes from nuclear power.

The Swiss government has also suspended decisions on its nuclear programme.

Concerns are growing about radiation leaks at a nuclear plant in Japan that has been hit by a third explosion in four days following last week’s earthquake and resulting tsunami.

The blast occurred at reactor 2 at the Fukushima Daiichi plant – 250km (155 miles) north-east of Tokyo – which engineers had been trying to stabilise after two other reactors exploded.

This wouldn’t have to do with the HAARP system that the government likes to play with and no body seems to know anything about. At least they don’t want us to know about. It’s better to feed us sports and mind control of other sorts so we just let them do what they want with us.

Say, wasn’t Stuxnet designed to sabotage German-made reactor equipment? Hmm…

Let’s hope Israeli security isn’t in charge of their reactors like they are in Japan (hmmmm…. ) and in the former U.S.of A.

Didn’t Angela just piss of Israel and didn’t her helicopter almost crash. It almost doesn’t pay to fly if you’re certain people in politics. Be careful if you criticize the poor little country or if you plan to run for office in your own country and they don’t want you to (JFK, Jr.) or if you won’t go along with their war pig plans (Wellstone), etc. or if you try to return your country back to money backed by silver and also insist that a certain nuclear plant in said poor little country be inspected-which it never has (JFK). And stay out of old, tall asbestos-laden skyscrapers which might conveniently be used in a false flag operation. They killed several birds with one stone in that operation, right Mr. Silverstein? Isn’t is strange how billions let a very small percentage of the population ruin their own cultures and wreak havoc on the world? Fascinating.

Firstly: Has the Stuxnet virus been found in their operating software?
Secondly: Would the German authorities tell us, if it had?
Thirdly: What does the Civilized world intend to do about this?

I wonder if Israeli security companies are running security at the German plants? Wouldn’t it be something if the real reason for shutting down those plants was to investigate Israeli saboteurs and they decided to file charges against the saboteurs and the Israeli companies.
That supplied there “security”after finding evidence of sabotage.
Maybe even America would wake up on that one a little bit!

I find it refreshing that old ma Merkel is growing some stones.

The reason for the Fukushima disaster was apparently the Black Out. The tsunami only took out the generator and some electrical switches. Neither the quake nor the tsunami were ever reported to have damaged the reactors or storage pools.

Could be Stuxnet, thats hard to say and I doubt we will ever know. But Fukushima has proven that boiling water reactors are ticking dirty bombs of nightmare proportions.

ok, but then why would Germany not SAY they are worried about Stuxnet?

I honestly quit working at building these plants in 1975 the minute I learned the fuel was so poisonous and radioactive for so long. And the cooling ponds at the plant were half filled with spent fuel that could not be successfully contained. Containment was possible by periodically changed and stored demineralized water. It took building such an incredibly dangerous facility in an active tsunami zone with some douche bags’ safety killer virus let loose to prove self-righteous cretins can only bring us down. Many more of these and we are all dead.

I remember a friend who’s husband worked at a power plant said that it takes months to shut one down for it’s a slow process. You just can’t turn it off overnight. If Germany is shutting theirs down they must know something is coming that we don’t know about yet. Also, probably not a one of these plants should of ever been built. So, what do others know that we do’nt know? Forces beyond our control are coming like more earthquakes in parts of the world. We’ve been hearing much about them.

General Electric Japan / British petroleum Gulf + Rothschild = False Flag

Looks to me like Rothschild Land is trying to blackmail the entire planet with this struxnet virus, which can infect not just nuclear plants but an endless assortment of infrastructure. Its possible that mossad agents have this thing sitting in wait all around the globe. That appears to me Rothschild Lands end game, to blackmail the entire world into bowing down before the IMF and other criminal institutions… Its long past due to put this dying dog down. Its time.

I believe they know that it’s a really dangerous way to produce power when unexpected events or mistakes occur and that it creates highly dangerous radioactive waste that remains highly dangerous for a long long long time.

    Time to go green people.
