US military chief to visit Israel to reassure on Iran

Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs, will arrive in Israel next month for talks aimed at reassuring Israel that the US is serious about stopping Iran’s nuclear program.

The visit is seen as bolstering military ties between Israel and the United States.

Dempsey will arrive in mid- January in a trip that comes as the US escalates its rhetoric regarding US military preparations to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In an interview with CNN last week, Dempsey said that preparations for a military option “are evolving to a point that they would be executable if necessary.”

The former commander of the US Army, Dempsey was appointed chairman of the Joint Chiefs in October, succeeding Adm. Michael Mullen, whose term was marked by increased cooperation with the IDF and chief of staff at the time, Gabi Ashkenazi.

Current Chief of Staff Lt.- Gen. Benny Gantz knows Dempsey from his days as the IDF attaché in Washington, but it will be their first time meeting in their current posts.

Mullen and Ashkenazi met over a dozen times during their joint terms.

Talks with Dempsey are expected to focus on Iran’s nuclear program as well as regional developments such as the challenges Israel faces from a possible Islamic takeover in Egypt and from Hezbollah and Syria in the North.

In a recent interview, Dempsey said that Israel would likely not update the US ahead of a strike.

Dempsey is also expected to meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

The visit comes at a time of rising tension between Jerusalem and Washington over the continued impasse in peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

Defense officials stressed though that despite political differences between the countries, military and intelligence ties have seen a significant boost in recent years. The visit comes months before Israel and the US hold the largest ever joint-missile defense drill.

Scheduled for May, the drill is called “Austere Challenge” and is expected to see the deployment of several thousand American soldiers in Israel. It will also include the establishment of IDF command posts at European Command headquarters in Germany – with the ultimate goal of establishing joint task forces in the event of a largescale conflict in the Middle East.

The US will also bring its THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) and shipbased Aegis ballistic missile defense systems to Israel to simulate the interception of missile salvos against Israel.

The American systems will work in conjunction with Israel’s missile defense systems – the Arrow, Patriot and Iron Dome – and live interceptions are expected to take place during the drill.

Shapiro sought to allay concerns the sale could compromise Israel’s military edge. “By law, all sales to the region must be evaluated for the impact on Israel’s qualitative military edge,” he said of the review conducted before the Saudi deal went forward. “We conducted that assessment and we are satisfied that this sale to Saudi Arabia will not (diminish) Israel’s qualitative military edge,” Shapiro said.

`In a recent interview, Dempsey said that Israel would likely not update the US ahead of a strike.`

So, what’s stopping the Jews from doing it right now, or at any time over the last 5yrs ?
Far more people in America than ever before are realising that this is yet another war America would be fighting on Israel’s behalf, with, this time, chutzpah Israel openly being the initiator, and then stepping back so that American boys and girls take all the bullets.

What could well happen is that although Pres Obama might give the order for America’s unqualified total military committment in the defence of Israel, the delay factor would be the gathering revulsion amongst ordinary Americans against things Israel and things Jewish in America – and the institutional Democrats and Republicans.

Under such circumstances why would Pres Obama think he had the slightest chance of re election, as already, because of the gathering central bankster generated imminent economic collapse, that is to say, mere months away, it is absolutely certain that an all out assault – which can only be described as criminal, right now on Iran by America would bring forward that collapse to within weeks of the assault ?

An economic collapse on its own might be survivable by the Republic, and with the necessary changes to central banking the Republic can be brought back from the brink of utter chaos. But when atop economic collapse are superimposed the unbearable strains made by the demands of an allout war, leading to complete societal and institutional collapse – with no law respected except the law of the gun, many armed people will come after the political criminals in the District of Criminals to dispense summary justice.

Maybe Pres Obama and his cabal of Jewish advisers are hesitating because of this last point, and not so much that he would have no chance of re election come November, as, after all, Presidents are meant to be single use items, like shell casings.

I wonder how Admiral Thomas Moorer would have handled this, when he was head of the joint chiefs of staff?

Considering his statements about the jew controlling America, I don’t think he would have gone over there suck-holing to them, even if he was ordered.

We need more like him, right now.

The media have been subliminally & overtly getting the U.S. people used to the idea of a war with Iran.
I think back in ’07 the web was buzzing with ‘we’re going to see a false flag to justify attacking Iran’ maybe it was ’05. But it’s been a topic of conjecture for a long time.

I don’t think the people will rise up against war, but I wouldn’t count on any volunteers.

The whole idea of empire is repugnant, it’s the U.S. that should be balkanized, we do better when we mind our own business. That’s imho.

Looking at the face of Gen Martin Dempsey and then, a little further down the page, at Congressman Ron Paul, i perceive that Gen Dempsey is chafing at the sense of humiliation he feels in America and himself being completely owned by the Jews. There is not a word nor a gesture which can be out of place for they are ever watchful, ever ready to correct or to chide in some way, lest the puppet, otherwise emboldened, seeks to become master.

Ron Paul ? His face is of a man owned by no one, and fully cognisant of the immensity of the task ahead of him, should he become President.

The Unites States and its citizens owe Israel nothing, zero nada not one damn thing. We should cut off all aid to the entire region and bring the troops home now. Name one thing that Israel has done for America? Well lets see they have been caught spying on us hundreds of times, caught with stolen US military equipment being sold to Russia and China. Israel has murdered American citizens and American soldiers in cold blood. Israel has attacked every one of its neighbors, some multiple times. Israel is a fascist military regime that has been attempting to eliminate the entire Palestinian people for over 50 years. Israel has more UN sanctions than all the other countries in the region combined.
Israel is the only nuclear power in the region and refuses to sign the nuclear non proliferation treaty. Israel refuses to allow UN inspectors in the country to verify its nuclear facilities. In short Israel is a rogue terrorist state that has been responsible for more acts of terror than any other state in the world. We should be attacking Israel not Iran. The CJC should be in Israel telling them that if they don’t stop murdering innocent women and children right now it will be US Marines calling the shots in Israel. Lets get real here people Israel is our real enemy in the middle east.

Why is America so concerned with Israel? If the Jewish people here want to support that Kosher state let them spend their money on it not ours. Did anyone take umbridge with the fact that Israel our good old pal just sold the Chinese some of our most advanced military hardware? What a pal, the time has come for Israel to support its self and cease being a drain on the American taxpayer.

Israel has become a stage 4 metastasized cancer in the body that is the United States of America. History will relate to it as being the rudimentary cause of its death unless eradicated or at best put into remission.

Why do Ron Paul supporters think he will be any different towards Israel than past presidents? In order to get rid of the zionists who occupy our entire government, own the corporate media, IMF, WTO, Fed. Reserve, Rothchilds etc…there would have be to a mass cleansing of these viper satanists. America will pay for all the horror and terror it has released upon the planet in the name of democracy. Obama is no better, Holder worse. But they are the same psychopaths as in the Bush regime, the military industrial complex, prison industrial complex and all of it goes back to Henry Kissinger and Dick Cheney two satanists who have been holding this country hostage to thei psychopathy for decades. We need a new party, get rid of the two party system, get rid of every senator, congressman, rid all the government agencies of the zionist sypathizers…or this country is about to become a fascist state, nothing more than a banana republica.

Take note of those people who say “cut off israel, let them fight their own wars, etc etc”.

What the &%^# is wrong with them?

If someone came into your home, raped your wife and children, then butchered them, then robbed you completely blind… the only thought in your mind is “let him go,let israel fight its own wars, cut them off”…

israel is going to pay back every last damn cent, their “agents” (domestically as well as internationall) will be rounded up and tried for treason, the remaining morons who supported that satanic entity will be deported to an uninhabited land, and israel will be wiped off the map and Palestine given back its rightful people.

I believe comments such as mentioned are from shills.

Justice WILL be done. Anything less and the cancer will be right back, stronger than ever.

Joint military missile exercise with Israel? How about military missile exercise ON Israel?

Israel is holding the entire planet nuclear blackmail hostage. Don’t believe it? Then just try to disarm Israel from their hundreds of illegal nuclear bombs and missiles. Try to enforce int’l law on Israel. Israel actually has nuclear war contingency plans that include nuking Europe and the USA. That’s why Israel refuses to even admit to their illegal nukes, much less allow U.S. weapons inspectors into their nuclear systems to see who and where Israel has their nukes trained upon.
