Pope Francis conveys Rosh Hashanah greetings

Pope Francis in a meeting with Jewish leaders sent Rosh Hashanah greetings to Jews worldwide and expressed “concern” at the ban on kosher slaughter in Poland.

At an audience Monday at the Vatican with World Jewish Congress heads, the pope said he was directing a cardinal to investigate the situation in Poland, where a ban has been in effect on ritual slaughter since January.

Francis met with a WJC delegation headed by the organization’s president, Ronald Lauder, who presented the pontiff with a kiddush cup and a honey cake.

A WJC statement said the pontiff and Lauder spoke about the situation in Syria “and agreed to speak out against attacks on religious minorities, such as Coptic Christians in Egypt and against trends to restrict well-established religious practices such as circumcision.”

In addition, according to the statement, “The pope specifically expressed concern about the bans on kosher slaughter in Poland and directed Cardinal Kurt Koch, the president of the Vatican’s Commission for Relations with the Jews, to investigate and host a follow-up meeting as early as next week.”

The WJC said the pope, using the Hebrew phrase “Shanah Tovah,” asked Lauder to convey holiday wishes to Jewish communities worldwide. The group said the pontiff reiterated a statement made last June that “a Christian cannot be an anti-Semite” and said that “to be good a Christian it is necessary to understand Jewish history and traditions.”

Referring to the conflict in Syria, “the pope called the killing of human beings unacceptable and said world leaders must do everything to avoid war,” according to the WJC.

Francis has met with Jewish leaders and representatives on a number of occasions since his election to the papacy in March. The WJC called it his “first private audience with an international Jewish leader” since becoming pope.

The delegation also included WJC leaders Robert Singer and Maram Stern and the heads of the Latin American Jewish Congress, Jack Terpins and Claudio Epelman.

“The group said the pontiff reiterated a statement made last June that “a Christian cannot be an anti-Semite” and said that “to be good a Christian it is necessary to understand Jewish history and traditions.””

To be a good Christian IS to fully understand the demonic ways of the jews and to get a grip on how Christianity is being infiltrated and destroyed by these inhuman beings, including this devil worshipping pope.

Why has no pope come out ever and condemned way and told their congregation NOT to support the wars being fought for Israel? Instead he’s cohorting with the people responsible for all the wars, bankruptcy, misery, dirt, death and destruction in the world

We forgot, it is one of their jewish perveted celebrations again. That is why they are pushing for a war against syrian gentiles at this time so urgently: they need gentile blood to really enjoy their “religious ” celebration !

If this new “pope” keeps this up by MOVING BACKWARDS, he will start to preach Old Testament nonsense and throw away his cross and New Testament.

The Syrians, All Arabs are Semites. I am Irish catholic. There is nothing good or Godly the Catholics are giving the world or their congregation that seek God. Catholic gold sits in the Fed and the Bank of London. They are neither hot, nor cold (revelations). They are as addicted to usury as they are children. It’s just business. They are not used like Hagee, but they are used.

I do not believe the Pope does not know anything about the Babilonian Talmud, the Torah and the Kabalah. In those books that were subtracted from the Pentateuch (first 5 books of the bible) and made to the way tha Jews are. Those books are an insult to any decent person in the world, an insult, a blasphemy to Christianyty, Jesus and his mother Mary. There is no way you can find any moral value in those books including the Old Testament.

Two (Israel/Catholic) are stronger than one. That leaves one left that has to decide what side of the plumbline they want to be on…..the church. Amos 7:7,8

Zechariah 13:8. You had better decide soon.

Someone should send him ,and EVERY Catholic SATAN AT THE WAILING WALL.REAL JEW NEWS.COM… Maybe the pedophiles in the Church ,the leaders PROTECT could get them to copulate with fake walls instead !

I’ve seen those two “Abraham’s Chillun’ pictured with Argentina’s Dirty War fascilitator and ‘hands on’ culpret, Jesuit, ‘The Black Pope’ Francis The Facist before, somwhere.

They’re two of the Satanic Vaudaville Act, “The Dancing Israelis”.

This mysterious man, with a “deep and passionate love for the Jewish people”, remained deathly silent when a Catholic Bishop, and his assistant, another Catholic Priest, were beheaded by Chechen Al Qaeda murderers in Syria, earlier this summer. Among the cheering onlookers were minors holding cell phones recording the event, with sporadic shouts of Allah Akbar.

When the embattled Syrian Christians needed a word of support, this “Great friend of the Jews” was struck mute. Is this a man worthy to be a representative of Jesus Christ on earth? Christ spoke with searing truth, this man, totally in thrall to anti Christ Judaism, was struck deaf and dumb.

Consider the effect that a televised rebuke for the heinous crime carried out against the Christian Bishop and his assistant, would have had for the billion Catholics worldwide. A mobilization of that untapped force worldwide might have derailed the U.S covert and overt support for the terror gangs, alas, this mysterious “great friend of the Jews” looked the other way.

What the hell is it the Church’s business if a sovereign nation like Poland wants to ban “ritual slaughter” of animals? Ok, well I guess you can’t be pro animal rights and a sincere Catholic.

By the way, it would be nice if you tell your friends that our side has been waiting 2000 years for some admission by the Jews that they had some involvement in the death of Our Lord-sorry, I meant to say, My Lord Jesus Christ. I have a feeling our side will be waiting until His return.

I guess, Your Holiness, since you are Italian as I am, that the ROMANS should take all the blame for His Passion-ok, I got it now.

A good Christian respects the traditions of JESUS CHRIST… Not the Jews who KILLED him ! Study the way they killed Jesus, and YOU, will learn the keys,to the Jew methods… Plus I am offended that the old bum is endorsing Ritual Slaughter… I was hurt by Catholics since attending what they pretended to be a school… As an adult, they never fail to reach new limits of detestation…

You’re right. I was using the term in it’s ‘caloquial’ sense; and not it’s actual one. Back in Argentina’s dirty war, the military regime presented itself to be ‘Fascist’. That they were ‘nationalistic’ was more word play.

The ideals of Facism, and it’s convoluted manifestation, both bear the term.
