I 24 NEWS – A high school teacher in France is under investigation from the Education Ministry after posting anti-Semitic statements on Facebook, the French weekly Le Canard Enchainé on reported Wednesday.
The teacher, who worked at Paris’ esteemed Janson-de-Sailly school allegedly wrote posts on March 10 targeting “the American Jewish lobby” funding Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and accused French President Francois Hollande of denying his Jewish heritage, said Le Canard Enchainé.
Hollande “is a Jew who benefited from his belonging to that community to ascend in politics and who now denies this,” the teacher wrote.
“Hollande is Jewish and denies it. Backpedaling will begin all over, now that it is less beneficial for Jewry.”
In a separate post she is said to have written that “the Holocaust was planned and organized by the Jews.”
According to Le Canard Enchainé, the students reported the posts to another teacher who notified the principal.
The Ministry of Education was contacted by the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF) and by the French weekly.
